Privacy Policy

Profile information you provide: your name, age and birth date, gender, photos, and your answers to icebreaker questions.

Phone number: used to verify your identity by SMS one-time code and to sign you in.

Connections & activity: the people you connect with at events, the events you attend, the interest you express (“I’d love to see them again”), and any matches that result.

We use your information to run events and to power the core experience: showing you to other guests within your network, helping trusted friends introduce you, surfacing mutual connections, and facilitating matches and dates. We also use your phone number to verify your account and contact you about your activity.

With other members.Your profile is visible to other guests within your event and your extended circle, according to the app’s visibility model (friends and friends-of-friends). It is never a public, open feed.

With service providers who help us operate, under confidentiality obligations:

• Supabase: secure database and photo storage
• Twilio: sending SMS verification codes
• Apple & Expo: delivering and running the app

We do not sell your personal information, and we don’t share it for third-party advertising.

Photos you upload are stored to display your profile to your network. Please only upload photos of yourself that you have the right to use.

We keep your information for as long as your account is active. You can request a copy of your data or ask us to delete your account and associated data at any time by emailing us at the address below. We will action deletion requests promptly, except where we must retain certain records to comply with the law.

We use industry-standard measures to protect your information, including encryption in transit and access controls. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to keep your data safe.

Grain is only for people aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.

We may update this policy as Grain evolves. We’ll revise the date at the top and, where appropriate, notify you in the app.
